2013 TAUC Leadership Conference

Tuesday, May 7 - Friday, May 10, 2013
Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation
One Lake Oconee Trail [map]
Greensboro, GA 30642

The Association of Union Constructors is pleased to present TAUC Leadership Conference 2013.

As the national trade association for the union construction industry, TAUC strives to create and deliver events that capture the energy of the dynamic union construction market and offer necessary opportunities for union contractors, industrial business owners and union representatives to learn and network with fellow union construction professionals. TAUC events are a means of advancing the union construction industry's collective interests in labor relations, education, safety and health, and work opportunities.

Our two keynote speakers for this year's TAUC Leadership Conference are:

Karen Post
Karen is a world-renowned expert on branding and the author most recently of Brand Turnaround: How Brands Gone Bad Returned to Glory and the 7 Game Changers that Made the Difference (McGraw-Hill). Karen has over three decades of experience helping clients to build memorable brands that sell product, create loyalty, and add value. She will be speaking about how to rebrand union construction so that everyone -- from contractors to unions to owners -- benefits.

Lt. Col. Rob "Waldo" Waldman
Known as "The Wingman," Lt. Col. Waldman is a professional leadership speaker and author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Never Fly Solo. He teaches organizations how to build trusting, revenue producing relationships with their employees, partners, and customers while sharing his experiences as a combat decorated F-16 fighter pilot and businessman.

If you've never attended a TAUC Leadership Conference before, you can expect a full roster of high-quality speakers as well as numerous networking opportunities -- gourmet meals, a gala reception and dance, to name just a few. The conference also hosts the James J. Willis Craftsperson of the Year and Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Awards presentations, two of the industry's most prestigious award programs.

The 2013 TAUC Annual Union-Made Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, May 9th. The golf tournament has been designed to allow participants to enjoy the day while displaying their varied golfing skills. All Ladies and Gentlemen registered for TAUC's Leadership Conference are eligible to enter the tournament and compete for prizes. TAUC's Golf Committee has elected to play a scramble format.

1. The entry for the 2013 TAUC Union-Made Golf Tournament is $175.00 per person, which includes green fees, cart fees, and refreshments.

2. The Golf Committee will assign all foursomes. Since we will be allowed a "shotgun" start at 12:30pm SHARP, it is extremely important that all participants be at the course no later than 30 minutes prior to tee-off. Players need to check in at the Pro Shop to locate their assigned foursomes. Boxed lunches will be provided to all golfers.

3. Prizes will be awarded to members of the winning foursome, 1st and 2nd runner-up foursomes and most improved foursome. In the event of a tie, scorecards will be compared as in match play, starting with a randomly selected hole. Individual prizes will be awarded for the longest drive, men and women, on designated holes and closest to the pin on selected par three holes.

4. Rental clubs are available at $75.00. Golfers are responsible for their own rental club payments as well as cigars and golf shop merchandise.

5. Transportation will be provided from the hotel to and from the golf course for all registered golfers.

GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE:
Gentlemen
Collared/Mock short sleeve shirts, Bermuda length shorts or non-denim trousers, and non-metal spikes or any flat rubber soled shoes are appropriate.

Ladies
Collared/Mock/Yoke neck sleeve or sleeveless shirts, Bermuda length shorts/skirts or non-denim trousers, and non-metal spiked or any flat rubber soled shoes are also appropriate.
