Zero Injury Knowledge Certification Training

Thursday, June 24, 2010
Belvedere Conference Center
1170 West Devon Avenue [map]
Elk Grove Village, IL 60007

The registration period for this meeting has ended.

The Zero Injury Knowledge Certification Training is scheduled for Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Belvedere Conference Center located at 1170 West Devon Avenue, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. The telephone number is (847) 534-0600).

This training session is being held in conjunction with The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) and the National Association of Construction Boilermaker Employers (NACBE) joint safety and health committee meeting.

The cost is $50 per person for TAUC Governing Members and NACBE Members, for all other participants the fee is $100 per person.

This is a special reduced rate negotiated by TAUC with the Zero Injury Institute for members of TAUC and NACBE to become Zero Injury Knowledge Certified by the Zero Injury Institute (ZII).

Typically ZII Certification at the Safety Specialist level costs $500 for the five on-line learning modules which requires 5.5 hours sit time to complete. On completion ZII sends the student an email with a framable 8x10 certificate.

ZII representatives have agreed to be on-site in Elk Grove Valley, IL to present the combined Project Manager/Safety Specialist modules. After completing these two modules; for an additional $100 you will be forwarded an email linked by ZII to the Superintendent Module which is a three hour long module consisting of the Craft module, the Foreman module and the Superintendent module. In this way TAUC/NACBE enrollees can be certified for a total of $200 or less; a $300+ saving over an outright purchase.

ZII's purpose in offering the modules as on-line training for contractor employees is to provide the contractor project employees a foundational education about the Zero Injury Safety Leadership Concept, its origin, examples of sterling performance, the logic behind the possibility of a zero injury outcome, the CII research best practices and the job specific roles each individual must fulfill for a zero injury culture to come into existence. The modules clearly spell out the multiple critical key role elements of each position; the craft, the foreman, he superintendent, the safety specialists and the project manager and top management. When these role elements are clearly understood and followed, it is then that zero injury can become a reality.

Zero injury can only occur when all have bought-in and are engaged in making it happen.
