The Association of Union Constructors is pleased to present the 2017 TAUC Leadership Conference. The leadership conference will be held from May 9-12, 2017 at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara located at 1260 Channel Drive in Santa Barbara, CA 93108.

We encourage our members and affiliates to attend this year's conference to take advantage of the network opportunity.

As the national trade association for the union construction industry, TAUC strives to create and deliver events that capture the energy of the dynamic union construction market and offer necessary opportunities for union contractors, industrial business owners and union representatives to learn and network with fellow union construction professionals. TAUC events are a means of advancing the union construction industry's collective interests in labor relations, education, safety and health, and work opportunities.

If you've never attended a TAUC Leadership Conference before, you can expect a full roster of high-quality speakers as well as numerous networking opportunities -- gourmet meals, a gala reception and dance, to name just a few. The conference also hosts the James J. Willis Craftsperson of the Year and Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Awards presentations, two of the industry's most prestigious award programs.

The 2017 TAUC Annual Union-Made Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, May 11th at the Sandpiper Golf Course located at 7925 Hollister Avenue in Santa Barbara, CA 93117. The telephone number is (805) 968-1541. Sandpiper Golf Course is a 20 minute drive from the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. The golf tournament has been designed to allow participants to enjoy the day while displaying their varied golfing skills. All ladies and gentlemen registered for TAUC's Leadership Conference are eligible to enter the tournament and compete for prizes. TAUC's Golf Committee has elected to play a scramble format.

1. The entry for the 2017 TAUC Union-Made Golf Tournament is $195.00 per person, which includes green fees, cart fees, refreshments and a boxed lunch.

2. The Golf Committee will assign all foursomes. Since we will be allowed a "shotgun" start at 12:30 pm SHARP, it is extremely important that all participants be at the course no later than 30 minutes prior to tee-off. Players need to check in at the Pro Shop to locate their assigned foursomes.

3. The Sandpiper Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course. An Inspiring combination of challenge and beauty as championship golf brings you to the edge of the Pacific Ocean. With breathtaking ocean and mountain views from every hole, Sandpiper is truly a memorable experience.

The championship golf course at Sandpiper has been rated by Golf Digest in the top twenty-five public golf courses in California and top 100 public courses in the Country. It was designed by William F. Bell and opened in 1972 featuring beautiful rolling fairways and challenging greens in a seaside links style layout. Sandpiper's dynamic design attracts players of all skill levels including players of the highest caliber.

Measuring over 7000 yards, with championship rating of 75.1, Sandpiper has challenged the abilities of the PGA and LPGA players alike, playing host to several professional tournaments including: The PGA Tour Tournament Players Series, The LPGA Tour Santa Barbara Women's Open, and the prestigious final stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying school.

Sandpiper combines a traditional championship golf and spectacular surroundings to provide our guests with something much more than a round of golf.

4. Prizes will be awarded to members of the winning foursome, 1st and 2nd runner-up foursomes and most honest foursome. In the event of a tie, scorecards will be compared as in match play, starting with a randomly selected hole. Individual prizes will also be awarded for various skills competitions.

5. Rental clubs are available for $80.00 plus tax. Golfers are responsible for their own rental club payments and golf shop merchandise.

Who Should Attend:

TAUC Leadership Conference 2017 is open to anyone with a vested interest in the enhancement and advancement of union construction.

Specifically, TAUC Leadership Conference 2017 is designed to be a premiere networking event for industrial business owners, union contractors and labor representatives.

Meeting Attire:

Attire for TAUC Leadership Conference 2017 is resort casual for all meetings and social events, EXCEPT for the Gala Reception, Dinner and Dance. The Gala is sport coat and dress slacks or suit for the gentlemen, and dresses or suits for the ladies.

The average high temperature during May in Santa Barbara, California is 70°F with an average low of 55°F, so please bring the appropriate clothing for outside evening activities.

Cancellation and Other Policies:

Registration can be cancelled, and your registration fee refunded in full, if written cancellation is received in The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) office on or before April 3, 2017. If cancelled after this date you will forfeit your registration fee or as an alternative option you are welcome to send a substitute or replacement.

SLEEPING ROOM RATE:
$295 per night, plus 10% taxes - Superior or Deluxe Guestrooms offer two double beds or one king bed; single or double occupancy.
